Pick up Day

Yesterday was my daughters day to pick up her girls.  I thought she might want some company and I love the opportunity for some of our quality chats. She welcomed the idea.

“Thanks mom, I’d love the company,” she said.

As we were driving,

It was their dad’s weekend  and he lives 3 1/2 hours away in another city. The girls are 2, 8, 9 and 11 years old.

  1. Your daughter is so lucky to have your company and support. Divorce is so difficult. I really needed my mom during mine. Your line about your grandchildren coming in, struggling to adjust to their own circumstances, is a powerful one. Your presence must be a comfort to them as well.
